3dsmax Trial

I downloaded the trial, installed and when I go to run it, it asks to send a for a registration code. Shouldent I just be able to run it for 30 days no questions asked? Can I even send for a code with a 000-0000000 serial? I had it on my computer for a few days, it worked dandy then I reformated and didnt touch it again for about a month, or now, could that be a problem?

Yeah, that's the problem. It measures time, not number of uses. With a program like max they should really give you longer to give you a chance to get to know it. Nobody learns max in 30 days, unless that's all they do.

well actually it takes you 14 days to learn max if its all you do u can get the basics of modeling in one day if you look at their tuts..

was it a complete format or a format of the drive it was on ?

Twas' a complete wipe and install of windows.

let me put this in a better way :-
if u installed max on drive d and u have 3 drives c , d and e which drive did u format ? all of them or just d ?
because 3dsmax installs the cdilla license system on another drive.
