600MB Running Problems

I've just aquired the 600mb preview, and am running QuickTime 6.2, but the video is horribly choppy

I have a AMD 2800+ with a ATI Radeon 9500 Pro and 512 Dual Channel DDR RAM...

any suggestions how to smooth that thing out?

that's strange, you're computer appears to be pretty top notch. Defragging might help, but maybe you've simply got too many other things running in the background, but that's just a flat out guess. The best way to figure out these kind of things is troubleshoot anything you can think of. THis might be a stupid suggestion, but have you tried simply rebooting your system? Hope that helps.

its simply cause .mov sucks compared to just about most other file types. I find it to run the slowest out of everything.

But if you want to stick with this .mov, get "QuickTime Alternative" it helps. Or you can try to redload the file.

i find no differance with any movie type because my PC just runs it, hmm D:!

I've just aquired the 600mb preview

is it on your hardrive or on cd? i got mine from a friend on cd and it played like shit when i tried streaming it off the disk. if thats what your doing try copying it to the hardrive.

Or when it gets choppy you can pause for 1/2 second and then press play.
