6th preload wasn't the last one

I just posted this in the Valve info thread, just so you guys know, there's going to be ANOTHER preload.

We're going to start preloading the localized assets next.

Make sure that your Steam client is set to Spanish if you want to
preload those assets.

Since the preload doesn't include localization (because it doesn't,
right?), will those files be available the moment it's unlocked on

I don't think it's going to interfere with the gold announcement or anything, but that's just my opinion...

So? I know a lot of people were worried about having to download all localized content the moment the game was unlocked...

Well, your thread title made it sound like everyone would have to download another preload when that is in fact not true (as far as we know).

There is almost for certain going to be another small preload for everyone. I think that the hl2.exe and some DLLs are still missing. But the last one should be a small one, I expect.

Holy crap. This has been said MANY times before (I've said it at least ten times). We have the HL2.exe, and we have most of the DLLs. Basically all that's left is possibly some models (hydra, maybe), and some sounds. That's all, really.
And I think I'll go ahead and download these assets.
