A Closer Look

That thing ALWAYS lands on the ground. And yes, it has dragonfly like wings for propellors. It's half animal remember. Synth.

its the first time its ever landed on the ground for me, most of the time it blows-up in the air

It seems to land intact in that part a lot... Yeah I love those wings!

You're probably shooting it as it's dying. At that part I've got it to explode and land. If you shoot it until it's smoking, eventually it'll start to fall or crash. Shoot it while it's doing that and it explodes.
