Well i aint sure if that's his name, it's the guy at the beginning that's saying
"Wake up, Mr Freeman.. Wake up and smell the ashes.."

But any way on one of the earlier levels, the ones where you're going through the underground rebels and trains, etc... The one i'm talking about in particular is the part where you're going through the trains and you can see a blue sniper aiming beam and it's shooting at you.

Well anyhoo i used the "noclip" command because i couldn't be bothered to navigate through the trains and stuff but i carried on straight ahead past all the trains and to the tunnel at the end where you're not meant to get to.. And who do i see walking in that tunnel away from the trains? The G-Man, holding a briefcase and walkin away, then he just dissappears..?

Can anybody explain this? lol

Wait, you did. I'm #61 I think.
Heh, then you've been up for nearly 2 months :) Sorry I didn't send a reply. Truth is that I've started letting the apps pile up, and when it gets to it I don't get round to sending out notifications because there's too many of them. That and I couldn't get messages sent from my Uni bedroom because of their firewall.

what is g-mans perpose??... he is a scary person
To an extent, being a scary person IS his purpose. His creepy and random appearances give a sense of intrigue to the series, while his actions and words continually keep the meaning of events and the circumstances behind them out of reach to the player. With the Half-Life 2 Episodes, Valve are probably going to explain a bit more about this strange being, but don't expect to come away knowing all the answers, and be prepared to be asking even more questions than when you started out :P

edit: Back in the Half-Life 1 days, the G-Man was to an extent the only consistant non-player character in the entire game. The identikit soldiers, scientists and security guards came and went, but if anyone talked about a character in the game, it would be the G-Man. People wanted - and still want - to know everything about him, because he was the one guy who you followed - or was following you - throughout the game, yet he was the least co-operative son-of-a-bitch you could find who wasn't trying to shoot you in the face.
