A tribute to those we did not see in the game

After playing the game on all difficulties i am disapointed at the amount of things that were cut from the game after being shown on all the E3 vidios and the like. Please will good, caring people collect as many screenshots, art and whatever they can about the things that were cut from the game. This can include enemys, characters, guns and places. Thank you.

PS:Mabye with luck we will see some in the coming expansion packs.

Here is a screenshot of the hydra which i was looking forward to. Does anyone know why it was not put in? but im pretty sure everyone is sick about hearing about them so cmon and help us out. (also look at the gun the combine soldier is holding)

Oh for gods sake. I don't believe this. Please, get over it. They were cut for a reason, be as disapointed as you wish, cry if you have to - but its not going to make a difference.

Valve arn't bieng spiteful, or mean. They did what is best for the game, they didn't cut stuff to laugh at the gamers - they cut it because it didn't play well, it didn't fit in the game and ultimatley, was a poor idea, in some cases.

Sorry to be so harsh.

Yes, maybe we will see some of the enemies and weapons- re worked - that didn't make it into the actual game appear in upcoming expansion.

Well, the way you phrased it, was as if valve cut it because they wanted to be evil.

Theres been thousands of topics on this, mind. I could go on forever, with what was cut.

Like Samon said, everything that was cut was cut for a reason. The folks at Valve decided that some things just wern't fun to play with/against *cough cough HYDRA cough cough* Also, the E3 vids were just to show the gameplay, not the game.

Exactly, alot of people think that E3 stuff was actual game footage, when in reality they were tech demos.

A year, but don't judge it on that, that was gearbox, not valve, who are making their own expansions this time round.

Yeah its a shame they replaced that gun with the pulse rifle, i dont like the pulse rifle much. But i have a feeling we will see this gun in the expansions

as it ws already said this has been posted a gazilion times but ill answer some Q's 1. Why cut teh hydra??? = One hit kill.......they were sneaky and pretty quiet and they would kill u....then u wouldnt no wtf happened so ud keep getin killed although it woulda been chill to c a hydra stab an elite......
2. they didnt replace that with teh pulse rifle they replaced it with the Mp 7 which in my popinion was a good move caz the scpe rifle wasnt that good...
3. the boat level was cut caz it contained the assasin....the scope rifle guards...and the hydra....and it was on a fu*king boat
4. the assasins were cut caz their AI was a little too good on every difficulty setting. and they wanted combine to stay ugly and haed not sexeh and sexeh and the assasins had a really good weapon.

What the combine do when they invade worlds is they take the dominant species on the planet and make supersoldiers using the dna and combine technology together. The big wasp firing things were the supersoldiers that were copies of vortigaunts. The combine use them because they were suited to the planet Xen. Now that the combine are on earth they have taken human DNA and made the combine soldiers and police, which are suited to the planet Earth. Hard to explain but u understand right?

Uh small heads up here. The Prowler/Alien assassin was what became the fast zombie.

The combine assassin was just cut and the helmet found its way to the Combine Elite.

I don't know about you but I get freaked out much easier when someone charges at me melee in shooter than if they had a gun. Whenever someone charges at me with a stunstick in HL2 DM, I'm guaranteed to be dead. If someone just stands there and shoots, I just pick them off and don't trip, but if they come charging at me, blocking my sight from supressive and sniper fire then just move around jumping and blocking my sight, dodging my fire I'm known to get trippy by then.
