Abortionist accused of eating fetuses

There's not enough people calling bullshit in this thread, so:

Bullshit!

The website linked is World Net Daily, a far-right wing christian website that provides anti-abortion pamphlets and anti-abortion editorials.

The others reporting the same shock story are:

http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/jun/05061412.html
Which is also a christian website devoted to being against abortion, stem-cell research, contraceptives and gay marriage, amoung other things.

http://www.operationrescue.org/
A pro-life organization that is devoted to stopping abortions.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1423273/posts
A conservative editorial newsblog.

The only non-pro-life website mentioning cannibalism (as far as I can find) was:
http://pitch.com/Issues/current/news/feature.html
Which is a local Kansas youth art/culture magazine that is using the story as it's cover page, which shows plastic baby action figures floating in soup with the title "Mm Mm Good."

Every other news site I can find makes no mention of any such thing. Not even FOX news.
All the reports are just that the clinic was unsanitary. Nothing else.
Also, reports are that the staff of the place, including the person making the allegations, were young, untrained and some of them disgruntled. (Also evidenced by the reportedly stolen money.)

I don't know about you guys, but this cannibalist abortionist story sounds fake with a capital k. Which is probably why no legitimate news organization is picking it up.
It's just a bunch of pro-life groups overplaying the least factual aspect of a sad story.

Based on the photos of the office that I found, the place was unorganized and unsanitary, but hardly a 'hellhole'.
The guy deserves to lose his job for being a dirty jerk, but that's no need to exploit weak hearsay for shock value just to further an agenda.

Yeah, Mecha, something sounded real iffy about that whole article. And everyone seemed to immediately state that this guy was guilty of eating one, just because of one person stating they once saw it. And it has no proof and uses useless words like "cluttered" and hellhole. Crazy news.

I knew something was odd, just couldn't place my finger on it.

As always, Mechagodzilla's logic provides some great elucidation. :E

Wait a second, what the f*ck? Why is everyone just believing that this guy ate the babies? Its pretty goddamn sick that he kept fetuses in styrofoam cups in the fridge, but there seems to be no proof other than one person's account that he ate them. That article seemed to be more emotion-jarring than fact-giving.

Actually I think Erestheux first stated that the story seems unreliable, It's just Mecha's post was long enough to notice :p

Mechagodzilla also filled his with evidence proving how fishy the story is.

But yes, um, good job Eurestheux. :P

/me feels weird for congratulating people on their ability to spot phony articles on the Internet

Just call me Yuri, Canada boy.

And yes, I know I am that awesome. Thank you. :smoking:

I also find it sort-of suspicious that the police were sent in to to investigate money allegedly stolen by an employee, and when they interview the people, one specific employee just blurts out "he ate a fetus!!" or whatever.

I don't know, but it sure as hell sounds like a lame attempt at a "look over there" distraction to me.
