So I was so excited to get started playing Episode 2 today. I start it up and I'm thinking, okay, this is cool. Train crash, apocalyptic city, etc, etc. But it seemed a bit off. I noticed that Alex wasn't talking at all which seemed way different from Episode 1. I figured maybe someone got tired of her voice and just took it out. She always was pretty annoying, telling me which way to go and what not. After a while though, it started to creep me out. Finally I get to where the screen comes up with the scientist and Alex's dad (can't remember their names) and they're just looking at me and gesturing life and moving, but they weren't talking at all. Their mouths weren't even moving. Thinking this extremely odd, I turned on the subtitles and realized that I had a problem.
Turns out those parts hadn't downloaded yet even though Steam said my preloading was complete. So now I'm sitting here waiting to download the rest of Episode 2 even though I preloaded it a few weeks ago.
I wonder how many people had this problem. I'm glad they fixed it right away, but this sucks. I feel like the only thing I got out of preloading was the TF2 beta. Well, it was probably worth it...
