Am i stupid?

i know that i've been asking for this, but i just cant fine the necessary files for mapping in hl, so could anyone lay the program out on www.yousendit.com, or tell me the exact way?
a guy said it was built into steam, but i cant see it anywhere, and i've been searching on google, with no result of the goddamn program

please help a lost mapper :O

half life or half life 2? if its half life 2 go to your steam window and look for source sdk and download it. dont ask me how to do it for half life....

It's in the tools bit (you have store - my games - tools in your steam window). It's called Source SDK.

to make mapsfor hl1 you need the half-life.fgd that comes with valve hammer and you need the tools that the editor needs which you should find easiley on the valvce hamemr site
