i was reading threw my collection of gameinformer/PSM mags... and i found the first look HL2 artical... it says the AI can navigate tricky terran and some outher stuff and -->fasion weapons from what ever is at HAND<-- what do yall think of this?

Well its pretty common knowledge that the AI will be able to navigate difficult terrain i.e. climb ladders, avoid obsticles, find ways around/over stuff, and just generally figure out how to get to you whereever you may be. Thats pretty awesome.

The the weapons at hand. That consists of using physics objects that are nearby as i recall. They will grab stuff to protect themselves and use stuff to throw at you or break down stuff in thier way to get to you.

Perhaps they'll be beating you with a pipe or axe or chunk of concrete.

id be great if you could hit use on a pipe thats lying on the table and use primare fire to throw it and use seccond fire to use it as a weapon... it would make stelth take downs great...

could go either way... do sneaky physics tricks or fight everything outright

I'm not sure they'll "fashion" weapons per se, but there are definately enemies which can kick things at you, throw things at you, and maybe even use weapons similar to the manipulator against you.

In the info from valve thread, a valve employer states that you can pick up objects with your hands.

So knowing that, i'd assume you can throw them. Maybe without as much force as the manipulator, but enough to create a distraction =)

This game is going to be fun...

hm the first hl2 news i ever heard was back in... i dunno, it's been a while though... and it was either in computer gaming world or pc gamer us. they said kevin spacey would be the voice of Freeman, rage against the machine was gonna do the music, and the game would take place in a city during an alien invasion some time in the future, a while after the black mesa incident, and you'd play the game from the perspective of Freeman, and an alien. ...lmao i guess they got one part of that correct.
