Another quick question from me :)

In XSI you can quickly extrude by 0 by pressnig shift+d. This is rather useful, especially as 3DS doesnt seem 2 let u extrude along global axises (whats the plural of axis? axes?). Is there a feature for this in 3Ds max?

Also are there Keybord shortcut keys to orbit and zoom the current viewport? And / Or locking other viewports so u dont swivel them by mistake (the front Left Top viewports).

and a "reset origin button" like the "move centre to vertices" in XSI, so it puts the origin in the middle of the currently selected stuff.

when in your perpective view port use left alt + middle mouse to move in your 3d world in a urrrr. how do u explain it. Well do it anyway u will know what I mean. Also right alt + middle mouse is zoom in and out. This is all in your perpective view port. U can do it in the others but not much point.

somewhere oh somewhere.. this is a free mod that lets you 'set' bind for 3ds. ones like alt + shift + another key and shift + f1 + another key. What you do is hit 'bind' then move your mouse and set the settings you want it to... its extremly helpful if you can find it/figure it out. I dont remember where i got it but i dont have the original zip either :-\

what about the reset origin and extrude 0 options?
