Ok, I searched all the threads on this but I am stuck in the square w/ Alex! We keep getting blown away! Am I missing something? Should I not get behind her? When she gets the core exposed I can't stay alive or keep her alive long enough to get through the gates! UGH! I don't even want to tell you how many hours I've spent on this!

Once the core's exposed wack it with the gravity gun....the gate will then open and just run through....fook the combines...***n like hell.

i tried to hold them off as long as i could, but when my fellow soldiers died, i fell back to that little square with alyx. i went behind the bulletproof glass and popped out to take out the soldiers then went back in.

That's a hard part. Try again till you develope a tactic to stop incomming soldiers. It's best to go to them and meet them while they are comming than to wait for them, but notice that they are comming from 2 directions so you'll have to cover both.
