Anyone know how to get HL2 to run in DX7 mode?

I saw a thread about getting HL2 to run in DX7 mode which sacrifices alot but improves performance.... where is it? I cannot locate it.

-dxmode70 or something. I don't know the actual command, but it's something like that. Do a search for running it in 8.1, and whatever -command you see, substitute 70 for 81

You have to add it in your launch options. Right-click on Half-Life 2 in Steam, go to Properties, then Launch options.

-dxlevel 70 is directx 7.0, theres also -dxlevel 81 and -dxlevel 90

I know people who have to run video cards off of their PCI slots. Dell rips people off with their substandard mobo's like that sometimes, so for some people, DX7 is their only option.
