AoE III Preview

OMG this game is going to own!
Looks to me like you can zoom in too! Awesome.
I believe that's the first indication that it's going to be set in North America. I could be worng (and probably am...)
 
The Age of Empires series has yet to disappoint me, this one looks no different, they're truly making the most beautiful RTS ever, might get me back into the genre
 
Company of Heros looks better ^_^.
Relics new RTS...infact the best looking RTS than beats some older FPS's extremely easy..combined with all houses that break(not break points) physically simluated, AI that relizes this, tanks that can run over fences(physics), in a nice close veiw.. heh..
makes AOE3 sound and look like crap.

AOE3 will be great no doubt...but Relics new RTS...heh... sounds better :).
 
I hope its like previous Age of Empires and set in europe :)

well if you read the link you'll see that it seems to be set in North America, im guessing around the civil wars etc. I hope there are some huge sailing ship battles, with cannons and boarding. Im getting pretty excited. What hardware specs do you guys reckon you'll need to be able to run this? Looks pretty extreme.
 
They mention ship-to-ship battles in the preview, with white smoke pluming from the cannons and drifting over the water.
 
Wow! that's one awesome engine if they can render all that action with physics. I hope it wont bring my comp to it's knees :(
 
And I thought FPS games were the most hardware demanding :D. Looks kickass! And t3h physics, it seems they will be great ^^.
 
Does anybody know which colonial powers it will be? Britain obviously, France, Spain, Portugal, Neatherlands, Germany (?), Russia (?), Sweden (?)...

Don't drink the water, they put something in it, to make you forget. I don't even know how I got here :(

The physics sound ace, I can't wait to fire some cannons at a guy on the edge of a cliff and watch his hat fly off and his body get launched off the cliff :D

I think the engine can cope with physics as well because they won't have to be extremely accurate as for 99% of the time the player will be watching small little characters. Perhaps there is a physics LOD for when you zoom in...oooooooo

Ha ^_^ You think steam is sooooo bad.. Yet I see absolutly nothing wrong with it(Discluding Friends List). I dun know what you find so bad about it..
 
Loved age of empires II. I will be getting age of empires III looks great.
