assistance? community ?

Ive read a couple of posts during the last days.
I never bothered with registration in this forums.
But i see something, that is so obvious weird to me:
Why is G.Newell asking fo assistance in this community ?
Looking through the threads i dont get it.

It's a good question.

A lot of Half-Life2 websites have their own unique individual thing. Halflifesource.com has radio, halflife2files.com have the biggest collection of files and we have the biggest hl2 dedicated forums.

Thousands of people come here to chat about HL2 stuff and when we were starting up, Gabe created an account with the forums and confirmed it with us.

That's pretty much why the announcement was made here.
We might also be seeing future announcements made here as well.

If you mean the amount of Valve slating and nasty comments going around; Valve have fustrated a lot of people, although the halflife2.net staff team support valve and wish them the very best it doesn't mean they're perfect - Their PR is totally pathetic and as a result they've annoyed thousands upon thousands of fans waiting for Half-Life2.

Even the decent people have to vent their anger sometimes, I really do support valve but I can understand a lot of peoples fustration with them.
