Asus X800 Xt

I was considering this one for my friend who's also getting an x800 xt. It'll be in stock on september 8th over @ newegg, and I was curious, is this the same as the x800 xt platinum, or is it better/worse?

Well, on this particular model the numbers are the same. I think Asus just decided not to have the "Platinum Edition" at the end of the product label.

If you look at the specs in that description, they are the same as that of an x800xt PE.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it I don't think you can find an AGP XT that isn't a PE. Just PCI-E ones.

The ASUS X800 XT has a core of 525mhz, while ATI XT PE is 520, while ATI XT is 500. So, in all wouldn't the ASUS card be best? Or is it missing things/slower in other things that the ATI XT PE isnt?

Where did you hear that wartime? All i've been hearing and reading is that AGP has the x800xt pe and that the x800 xt is only for PCI-E.
