*sigh* I really, really, really, really hate Teamspeak.

I ALWAYS get this ***king problem. I had a set of Steelseries headphones which crapped out on me, and as I was building a new PC I decided to go soundcard+hifi+mic.

It works. It's awesome. My mic works in the Asus software as do my headphones.

But ***k me.

Teamspeak?

Nada.

In the playback I switched the setting to "Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (ASUS XONAR PHOEBUS Audio Device), and set my mic to the same.

Mic works with no playback.

No sound in play test sound.

Earlier, I switched to Mono To Center Speaker from Mono To Stereo, and huzzah! SOUND!

Then I selected the mic and the sound stopped working.

Potential driver issue?

I enabled HD Audio in the bios and tried the mic in the front panel of my Obsidian 650d and the mic doesn't work. Only works if plugged into the Phoebus at the back (and yes the HD audio on the mobo is connected).

Anyone got any ideas?

It seems no matter what PC I own, TS just refuses to have both the mic and headphones working. I ***king hate TS.

[Edit]

Right, it seems the sound is trying to push through the "Digital Audio (S/PDIF)" in the Windows Playback devices.

If I set that as the default device, I get no sound.

If I disable it, it gets highlighted in red in TS and I can't select anything as TS says it's the device is not registered or known.
