Remember in the days of the first half life.
When the aliens first arrived, you were walking down those corridors. I saw a headcrab, not really knowing what to do the first time, so I though, hmm i have a crowbar in my hand and .............SMACK hes dead

I just hope hl2 has the same atmosphere as the first one, a really in depth story, and you get to play every part of it

i'd say it deos, you go from being pushed around by the combine to slaughtering them so i guess its the same transistion. No doubt the first weapon you pick up is the... crowbar! and the first bad guy is... headcrab!

I personally think Valve have a great talent in creating atmosphere, and have no doubt that this talent will be put to good use in HL2.

I hope it too. And I hope HL2 tries to go abit back to the roots in the terms of atmosphere and not just this eastern european stuff.

Yea and hopefully the flash backs will include the new source graphics, and not the first half life graphics

I just watched the trainstation bink, that is an example of the atmosphere i like, the combine takes you to that room and you see blood all over the chair, and thats the end of the video, i it makes you think, whats going to happen next !?

I say within the next two weeks, Valve will release the buggy sequences. But this is just me guessing, no one knows for sure.
