Just got word from Eurogamer.net that I can join the Auto Assault BETA that starts this weekend. Did anyone else geta CD-key? It might be cool to experience the BETA with fellow HL2.netters.

how much time is spent on foot? if it's more driving than anything else it'll get a little tired after awhile although it does sound fun ...but it's no Age of Conan

the faq says something that when you're on foot you have the disadvantage of having weaker weapons then when you're in your car

Bleh... I checked out the beta earier last year and it really wasnt that fun at the time.

Hate to be a pessimist, but I predict that this game will flop. especially if it has a high monthly fee.

Been testing it for months now.
Trust me, it's nothing spectacular.
It's not something meant to be played for hours to be honest.
It looks good and the havok physics have been implemented pretty well into the enviroment, expect the cars.
The game feels more like a singleplayer game with a build in chat then a mmorpg.
Party system aka "Convoy" has been bugged since the beta came out and i doubt that they still have fixed it.
I stopped testing it two months ago.
They recently made some graphical improvements and a few tweaks here there.
It gets very old after a short while though.
Very hardware depended.
It's no Twisted Metal,i can tell ya that.

Funneh, I didn't bother either (spent most of the weekend with missus anyway). I sent the key to a friend but he didn't bother either.

Haha, over here we call it "Mad Max" (and that's the way it should have ****ing stayed ). Neat concept, but I doubt this game will get anywhere (it takes a bit to take down the giant known as WoW...I think the only one that got anywhere was Guild Wars)
