Back-Ups , need help

Can anybody help me with the procedure for doing back-ups on the ' saved games '. I was well along the Canal route when my computer had a crap . Place I took it to did a reformat and I lost everything , starting at the beginning again. Only this time I want to copy my ' saved games ' to a CD . I heard that this can be done but I don't know how to do it. Does anybody save there positions in the game to a CD or Floppy so that they don't have to start at the beginning again.

just copy and paste to a floppy every now and then.

Just type sv_unlockedchapters 14 in the console. Voila, all the chapters are unlocked and you can start at any chapter in the game.

You do not need to put spaces before your periods.

or just find the console commands for the level and section you want.

Click on 'my computer' then c: drive then find programme files or steam, and follow those folders from there from the other post till you find the saves accompanied by a jpeg, you'll need all the files if you want all your saves. I think thats the most simplistic i can go.
