Black Mesa East Elevator Problem!!!

in the beginning of Black Mesa east, when chick call elevator and I walked in it ( press button and.....nothing!) Elevator doesnt`t go on..I wait and wait.. and nothing.Help!

she works the elevator. She stands and talks for a while, then gets going

I have the same problem...after talking she just stands there...she doesn't notice I get in the elevator nor does she move into it herself. I waited about 5 minutes after she stopped talking before taking my own life via a couple grenades...

I did notice some errors in the console about loading textures and something like SteamWaitForResources(): Failed
Is there a log file anywhere that I can copy the exact messages from?

This problem seems to be occuring on retail copies, so don't go accusing people like that.

OK, lots of people have come across this problem, and contrary to popular belief that you have a pirated game, it's actually because the AI fails to continue.

In order to resolve this issue:
Follow Dr Mossman to the lift, and IMMEDIATELY after she finishes talking, perform a QUICKSAVE (F6). Once you restart from your quicksave you should find that she will walk into the lift.. follow her and continue gaming!!
