I did a search for the fabled facility on MapQuest. Here is what turned up.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...y=&locationstds=40cbceb3-0017a-0500a-cdbcf373

While at the first it may seem nothing, I noticed one map thumbnails it shows it next to a city named Bagdad, Very strange to me. I trying to make sense of if a real facility exists, this leads me to believe such does. Since there are 10 different possible locations I believe the BMRF is massive and has many above ground entrances located throughout the town of Black Mesa and other surrounding towns, Bagdad one and that like in HL it is mainly underground.

I will be researching more and will post it here.

If anybody heads down in that direction they should get a photo of them next to the city limits sign.

haha, yeah that'd be cool. being able to say, "I visited Black Mesa!"

Well, since Black Mesa was supposed to be in NM, I might have the best chance of visiting. ;)

it doesn't exist, trust me.
I think there's a town but not a research facility.

man, there's a freaking black mesa in oklahoma, the state in the u.s. where i'm from, and you know what? it's a real mesa, the elvated hill thing, it's the highest point of elevation in ok

Couldn't that big black building thing that the combine have be described as a "black mesa", it's black and it's a fortified area...?

What's that thing called anyways?

It's called the combine citadel.

btw, mesa is a flat, high place

The Combine Citadel

edit: foiled again

mesa = spanish for flat/table/flatness/plateau/flat/open/outside/flat/flat place/high place?/flat/flattyness/tablieness. All at the same time.

And this particular one...(here it comes folks)... happens to be a black color.

THUS - when submitted to the federal naming commission in 1862, it was determined to be named.... Black Mesa. Well and the rest is history, except for Bagdad, which is actually the result of someone doodling on the master map of NM in 1885. Nobody actually lives there.

I did search on Area 51, but that seems not very likely, This other place I found seems more likely called simply Dulce Extra-Terrestrial Installation.

If any of the stuff is true, it could be a possibly place. Though I doubt its validitity I posted the link anyways.
Located almost two miles beneath Archuleta Mesa on the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation near Dulce, New Mexico is an installation classified so secret, its existence is one of the least known in the world. Here is Earth's first and main joint United States Government/alien biogenetics laboratory. Others exist in Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona.

You know what's weird.. my history teacher who's neighbor is a person who tests for like plutonium and elements in the ground, I guess for suspicious radioactivity, her neighbor got called in by the FBI, she was blindfolded at the helicopter, she was given some samples to work on, and she was hardly even talked to. :|

Speeded up? Speeded up?!?! Never trust a website that doesnt even use proper grammer... :E

I said I did not trust. But would post just for general people to know. The whole place sounds so asinine I cared not for its information.

People live in Bagdad, it's just really small. We drove through it to look at a horse for sale on the way to Phoenix a couple months ago.

oh em gee! and like when they were on the helicopter did a giant sting ray start flying above one of the other helicopter escorts and shoot it down and then eventually their helicopter??????

I wonder if anyone will get this...

If you click on any of the maps it returns "Couldn't find any results for Black Mesa Research Facility." Maybe they teleported.

Opposing forces intro was mediocre. Would've been nice if you could see some other action aside from the other Ospreys, like looking forward out of the chopper and seeing the hot LZ in the distance with aliens fighting and stuff, or something.
