can css play with regular cs?

depends if you owned Half-Life or Counter-Strike CD keys.....if not, then no.

**EDIT TO CLARIFY** You can't play while in CSS at all. you have to play in Counter-Strike. CS and CSS are 2 differerent games completely. It's like asking if Doom 3 players can play with StarCraft players....not together on the different platforms.

Doom 3 players and StarCraft players = NS Players
Natural Selection on Source would kinda be a mix between Doom 3 and StarCraft.

Anyway, on topic, not possible sorry, just get whoever has CS to buy HL2, theyll be doing themselves a favour.
