Hey guys,

I am a frequent reader of this site, but I have never submitted any kind of post. I have a pretty big problem though and was hoping someone could help. I recieved the ATI coupon code and have been enjoying CS:Source for the past couple of weeks. Recently, something happened where I have to sell my computer. My only alternative is a crappy 600 mhz, ibm desktop that is barely good for surfing. Anyways, I will no longer be able to play half life 2, I was wondering how I could go about selling my Steam account???

I figure I could use the money, and someone would probably want to be enjoying half life 2 and CS:Source.

Can anyone help me with how I go about doing this? thanks for any and all help!

Sell it on E-bay as i'm sure there's a lot of people looking for what you have.

Unfortunately it think is illegal according to the EULA, well atleast what i know of.

Besides i doubt there would be a great value of your account anyways. Maybe 50-100 bucks?

$50-$100 is still valuable to some people, Richie. And as long as he sells it to only one person, I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

*sigh*

If i'm a richie, then why is it you that is failing to see that there are other values in life than money. Although he might not have use for it now, but when he do, an hour of Half-Life 2 will be worth a lot more than 100$

So sod off, "richie".

Why sell it? Keep it until you get access to a computer that can handle HL2 and has a good connection. If you sold your steam account details, then you'd have to buy any Steam games you have again.

The guy can't play it because he had to sell his computer, I think he could probably use the $50 for his key.

But like I said, why not just keep it until he has a good computer, so he doesn't have to buy any of the games again? Unless of course, he only had CS:Source on there in the first place, which makes sense I guess.

Isn't it illegal selling CD-keys or steam accounts?

You can't sell it on these forums, I'm afraid.

The legalities of it are a bit iffy, so I recommend trying to make your own arrangements elsewhere.
