Can't run maps inCS Source....

i have been trying to run custom maps in CS Source console. it just skips to desktop along with a stupid error. the compilation went smoothly. But i cant get it to run in CS Source...: ) Any help is appreciated.

(Note:- i never had issues with HL2 SP mapping!!)

this happens only when i try to run a map from console or by creating a new server (LAN). in short i am not even able to play cs on lan with bots(even though i can play css online without an issue).

seems like i am not the only on who is having this issue. steam forum is flooded with similar complaints. hope valve fixes it quickly... :/
