Cd key

I feel stupid for posting this but where the heck is the cd key located?
i have he game case and all the disks but there is no cd key. i also dont have the booklet (got this game from my buddy who lost the book)

The CD key will have been tied to a steam account when he first installed it. Unless you have the account details, you won't be able to install it.

Ask your buddy what the account details are. If he charged you money, either get the account details, or your money back. If he tells you can do it without the account details, he is lying and is trying to shaft you.

ill try... if he remembers he hasnt played it for like 2 years... is there a way steam can email him with the details?

If he remembers the account name and his contact email is still active yes, but you'll need to get your friend to do that. Once you log in with his Steam account, you'll be playing in no time.
