Good god, I think this motherboard is the holy grail or something. I searched for eight hours yesterday and two today the only online retailer i could find that carried it (newegg) is all sold out.

Does anyone know an online store that sells this board?

i didnt know the chaintech was all that good anyways...

Its an A64 board, nforce3 chipset.

Nforce3 chipsets are pretty buggy, the KT800 chipsets run like a dream. Skip chaintech anyway, and get an asus K8V.

No thanks.

I have done research on A64 boards. No where have I seen anything about Nforce3 boards being buggy. or any better / worse than VIA board.

All in all I think a single chip mobo is kinda interesting. So I'll be sticking with Nforce 3 thanks tho

chaintech products in general, arent the best...

Please dont double post.

What A64 CPU are you planning on buying? I would really wait until early '04, as 64 bit will become a bit more mainstream, and cheaper. There will also be socket 939 A64s, and possibly the Pentium5 or "Prescott"

When i origionally planned on building a system i was going to use a 3200 Barton.

It is cheaper to build an A64 3200+

Wait until 04. Theres truly no point in wasting money on 64 bit ATM. You WILL be sorry when you see the new 64 bit components out by then.
