Cheating in Multiplayer

DO u think valve got the guts to ban cdkey's of players who are caught cheating in steam?
I mean blizzard deleted accounts in diablo2 lod but didnt actually banned cdkey's they have sold.
Due to the lacks of accounts in hl2 i guess Valve got no other option than to Ban cdkey's.

If they officialy say they will - i will Be a happier person.. dont u?

I'm sure theyd ban CDKeys/WonID's even in the current Half-Life/CS, so why not in HL2?

VAC or some new counterpart will be implemented in HL2, and they will ban cd-keys if it catches you cheating. And what lack of account are you talking about? Steam works with an account based system.

And by the way Blizzard does ban cd-keys in Warcraft.

VAC is active in most HL1 based games and mods now. It has been giving people bans. Anyone that's been caught cheating has been getting a five year ban.
