Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I noticed this spray painted in a tunnel just before you get the gun mounted on your airboat:

GGDE B 4RN G

The 'D' actually appears to be an upsidedown 'G'. I'm guessing that the '4RN' is code for "foreign". I don't have a clue on the rest (although the preponderance of 'G's may relate to the G-man...or maybe I'm just blowing smoke out my butt).

Any thoughts?

Also, what the heck is up with the vitamin C enriched graffiti in the second screenshot?

i dont know about the code, but i doubt its anything special... and the citrus dropping bombs is a refrence to the book "1984", a book hl2 is based on.
 
Sure, that 'code' could be nothing. It just seems strange that they would make this texture (or decal) and only use it once. Most of the other graffiti appears several times.
 
RN G --ROT13--> EA T --> EAST (?)

hl2´s story isnt "based on" 1984.
it sure has similar elements, but not that you can call it "based on"

Gabe's probably reading this thread and laughing...

I don't think the first four letters spell out "CODE", it's really hard to tell what they say but I don't think it's code.

could just be industrial labelling or something inconspicuous like that.
