Combine Overwatch

Okay we know that combine are modified humans...But what I am most intersted in is..Can Women be combine? They are never soldiers as far as I see.
But the combine overwatch radio person / Overwatch commander i guess. Is a woman..((Could it be Mossman?))
So perhaps women can surrender and do secondary things in the combine army..Which raises another question..Are they geneticly enchanced?

I seriously doubt that it's Mossman. The "Voice of the Overwatch" seems as though it'd be a full-time job... and Mossman's busy... working at BM East.

Wait wait wait...Remember in Black mesa east...She was in the radio room contacting someone and then she told you she was busy and shooed you off.

I doubt she's going to book the radio room for any length of time. People would get suspicious. Who knows how long one of those civil emergencies could last?

No, its most definatly not mossman. Its probably soem sort of AI unit developed by the combine

maybe there are no combine women (that would suck for them)... or men for that matter. maybe they have no sex at all :cheese: that "female" voice sounds wicked cool, though. I think it really adds to the atmosphere that "they are everywhere". I wonder if that's actually a real person speaking though. It always sounds so monotonic, I thought maybe it was a machine relaying messages in that voice.

Or maybe that's what happens to some of the females who are sent to Nova Prospect... they become some sort of computer monitoring system core units. Like that Sjett lady from Homeworld

After all, all of the troops seem to be male. Though that could just be because the Combine remove the... unecessary bits.

They are in the concept art, but blasting a sniper out of their post reveals nothing more than a basic Combine Soldier. I think the female voice heard throughout the game is a AI using prerecorded speech to relay messages. It sounds wicked cool btw.

Anyway one of the women at the start of the game says "I would join Civil Protection just to get a decent meal"

I can make sounds like the Marines from HL1 do with the combination of my walky-talky and an older one for recieving the messages. Its great, running around saying "SQUAD, KILL FREEMAN!"

I love the fact that they hide from nades and nades dont go through walls...I think they have a blast radius where anything in their way softens/prevents damage. Cool.
