Community coming together

I have just noticed that everyone who has completed HL2 and though the story was weak and didn't understand the history behind what happend have all come together and posted screenshots and there own ideas on what happend to the earth and Freeman.

Some ideas that some people have posted are really intriging and make alot of sense and when put together with some screenshots that people have posted it all makes sense.

Just though I would post and say it's good to see people coming together and posting the opinions and ideas.

People are just used to many of the games and medi formats of the current world, which often deeply describe and provide solid substance for them to work off of.

I though the story was just fine, personally. I wasnt expecting huge elaborations or cheaply placed story references to enlighten me. You play as Gordon, you see what he sees.
If no one told him, "Yes, ravenholm was abandon by the combine during experiment 7, which failed to secure the xen creatures they captured. With the headcrab population unchecked, things got out of hand" then you simply dont now it. Alyx only said "We dont go there anymore", in a voice that signified fear, or perhaps an innate caution, which showed me,members of the resistance havent gone there in a while, and most likely for good reason.

If everyone had time to explaina ll the details to you, then it really wouldnt feel like the combine were after you like they were. No one really had time to elaborate since your very time of arrival resulted in escape. Dont get me wrong, there could have been more story, but then again, with an ending liek that, gordons probably some universe traveling bounty hunter ect

Though, back to topic, its good to see the community coming together
