Confused with countdown....

Hi, when i look at the countdown for half life 2 on http://www.planethalflife.com/ it says there is only 13 houres left... And in a countdown prog it says the exact same time.. But it is not 16th in 13h .... How come?

its based on your clock, not the real countdown.. it assumes you're in the US

For me, on planethalflife.com, it says 24 hours, which is the time, for me, till the 16th - not till the actual unlock though.

The counter is using your time, you can set the clock on your computer. And probably the countdown is false. It's 1 day and 10 hours left, roughly.

so its not really accurate b/c when i go there it say one day and 9 hours

Most likely based on your system clock.

the reason why everyone is having trouble is becuz they think it happens at 12 for everyone, but it doesn't. only if you live in GM6-8 (VALVe's time) will that be.

That countdown is off by about 10 hours to me, and 8 hours for people in the UK, 3 hours for those on the East coast...
