Console... Help!

Yeah i didnt really bother asking before but... For some reason i cant get the console up... I can use the "-console" command in the hl2.exe.. But it will yust be up when i press esc for some reason... And if i quit the console .. I have no way to get it back up!.. Execpt restarting that is... Anyone?

when you get the console when launching HL2, just bind the console to a key this way :

bind "keyyouwanttobindtheconsoleto" "toggleconsole"
