Doesn't counter-strike source come with HL2 and SDK content. Why would they sue if everyone has all the files to begin with?Raeven0 said:Even though this hasn't been asked in a while, -1 point for not using the forum search feature...
With GCFScape, copy the CS:S stuff you need into your HL2 folders, then embed that stuff into your BSP with BSPZIP. And hope Valve don't sue you for redistribution of their copyrighted content.
Oh right, never thought of that. But then you could do that for any HL2 map.Raeven0 said:By embedding a file into a BSP and putting that BSP up for public download, you make CS:S content available to people who did not pay for it.
If the map is for you, and you don't plan to distribute it, having the files in the appropriate folders is enough. BSPZIP (or its much easier-to-use partners, like Pakrat) puts files in the BSP for people who don't have them while still keeping the map to the nice small number of 1 file.terryirwin86 said:oh i see well im just making it for my self anyway....so here's the deal i have extracted all the files using gcfscape im just pretty confused about using bspzip what should i do next?
Any that has Valve's stuff embedded into it, yes. Most of the time it's not necessary to distribute their material.unfoldingmetal said:Oh right, never thought of that. But then you could do that for any HL2 map.
