half life 2 runs fine on my pc, it crashed with the repeating sound maybe twice the entire game.
half life 2 ep 1 crashes every 10-20 minutes, with a frozen screen and repeating sound. i have to manually turn off the pc and reboot to get out of the crash.
is there any differences in the two games that would cause this?
i am running a p3 2ghz, 1gb ram, geforce fx 5500.
i disabled sound, put graphics at bare minimum, closed running apps, and it still crashes. keep in mind hl2 plays fine. can anyone help?
