Ok ive been trying to figure this out but ive got nowhere...
I have been lookig for tutorials on it but the only ones covering it tell u how to cover your whole map with fog.
I want a beam going up into the sky of blue light bigger then a player.
I have tried env_laser and env_beam out and when u make the size of the beam 2 big it looks crap, U cannot see it as a whole 3d colum of lights only as a crappy 2d beam that turns as u near it.
My fog idea was to put the fog as a colum then when i cam to tie the fog to a entitle i got lost.
It came out as a solid texture witch im sure is not meant to happen
when i add a env_fog_controller my whole maps turns blue i do not want that and the fog still stays a solid testure.
how do i make a nicly sized colum of light
???
cheers
