Okay i have a really crappy computer.. I never get more than 20 fps in hl2. Ive tried mostly everything turning all settings to lowest possible quitting all uneed programs in taskbar nothing seems to help.

my specs are
1.5ghz p4
512mb sdram
52000

should I keep playing through hl2 or just wait until I can maybe afford a new computer (probably income tax time or if i get lucky christmas)

Keep playing, buy new computer when you can afford it, then giggle manically at the significantly better graphics and speed.

ur computer is pretty fine.But you need a new processor.Can u upgrade any higher?Also do u build ur own?If you do just get a new mobo and new processor and keep everything else.

If it's that bad (20 fps), I'd wait. You probably won't enjoy the game as much, so you may as well until you get a decent setup and play the game for real. This is what I did last time I was in the same situation.

If you're enjoying the game then keep playing (and then play it again in it's full glory at a later date)

If the performance is bugging you too much to get immersed in it all, then I reckon you should wait.
