Didn't Take long...

My HL2E1 game that I just bought to hours ago crashes shortly into the citadel, around when she tries to open the doors but those creature things keep her from opening it, sorry forget their names. Then she spots the mines. It crashes around there.
I have lots of maps and stuff, maybe one screwed something up? I'm going to take out all the HL2 SP maps and then try again. Arg, all I want to do is play.

Try verifying the integrity of your game cache files.

hl2 maps should conflict with hl2 ep1 since they are not in the same folder.

Try adding -dxlevel 81 to your startup options. I had the same problems and eventually figured out my video card sucks. :hmph:

If that doesn't work, try -dxlevel 80.
