Difficulty Setting

If I were to change the difficulty to hard, then load a saved game. A game tat I started out on medium Difficulty, would the new hard setting not take effect till i started a new game.

Or would it take effect even with my current saved games from my medium game?

you make it sound a lot more advanced compared to what it really is

Takes effect immediately - but yeah, that's actually very easy to implement, simply each time damage is calculated, it's multiplied by the appropriate modifiers depending on the variable that stands for the difficulty.

could be, i always thought it just replaced the max HP with the ones corresponding to the difficulty, same for weap damages, etc..

yeah hard is good, normal makes the combine so weak
