ok i have had half life 2 for seince christmas and i played deathmatch for the first time. but the thing is my dad dont want me playin it cuz its online. now i dont know much bout this stuff but can DM possibly screw up your computer or give it a virus in anyway?

No, online games are pretty safe in that sense. Being online at all, however, can cause you major problems unless your system has anti-virus or firewall software.

i got an anti_virus thing on it. im woried something can get in. is that possible

Any time you're on the internet without a firewall, no matter what you're doing, you've got a high chance of getting a virus or spy/ad/malware.

I heard an interesting statistic the other day. The average computer connected to broadband internet without a firewall will get a virus within five minutes.

Get a firewall mate :)

i got a fire wall but is it always on when i play DM? does this protect me 100%
