I just read the long, But interesting The Final Hours of Half-Life2. In it Gabe says

"I'd love to play a game that tells the story of Alyx and Doc, her pet Robot."

So it's not Dog as I've read before?

No, it's Dog. Doc is a typo.

But, funnily enough, it is spelled wrong in the quote aswell.

Hmm... But I am 99.9% sure it is still Dog.

I noticed that as well, I assumed it was a mistype, I think it's still D.O.G.
