The Day of Defeat HUD drives me insane - it's so cheerful and toy like
Not to mention it takes up huge portions of the screen
Anyone use a HUD replacement that is (1)much tidier and smaller and (2)more suitable for a gritty war game?
 
Can you post a screenshot of a different hud?

one of them fooked up my game so bad that I had to delete the DOD folder and verify
I really want a bare minimum of HUD icons - health and ammo is all I want TBH
 
It's a ****ing HUD man... pay attention to the Nazis shooting at you...
 
I would..........only it takes up some important peripheral areas of the screen
the thing is huge
 
I'm using this one atm.

How exactly did one of them f*ck up the game?

Bad news first...
All custom HUD's made before the last big update will not work properly.
Some from last year will even crash your game.

The good news...
The most reliable way is to download one that has been made after the June 28 update. The new Jagd and colmar maps/gameplay added new files.

There are now heaps of them around....
