what the comand for a joystick axis is, example ( bind joyaxis_z "+attack". )
does any one know...

half-life 2
The first Half-Life link sorta describes what 1,2,3, and 4 mean. If they are the same with HL2 then that will give you an idea.
Give those a shot. If they work, thank google.

cool I'll give some of these a try.
ok I think this might work but i think I've encountered another problem. before i did all this i used to simply be able to check off joylook in the mouse options and it would use the left analog stick on my joy pad, thats no good, all i need it to do was simply do that to the right one and set the left one for forward, back, left and right. now when i check off the box it says in the console: " couldn't exec userconfig.cfg " im not sure where this is or where i can get it. I've tried verifying the games cache but its still not there, now i cant use my analog stick at all.
