Dreamfall goes gold!!! (In North America...)

Story.

April 17 release date, for North America at least. Man, I have been waiting for this one for years! The Longest Journey is one of the greatest adventure games of all time and this one looks to push the bar even higher! It will be interesting to see how the 3D world and action elements affect gameplay. It is very different from the first one, but here's hoping that it still feels like home.

I saw The Longest Journey at a retail store about 2 years ago and on the box it said, "best adventure game of all time" or something along those lines. I bought it and gave it a shot even though its a very old game.

The intro was interesting, so I played the game for a few hours and I didn't like it at all. Maybe becuase it was so old by the time I tried it. This new one might be really good though.

Great news! I really hope the new elements will transfer the game and the genre to higher levels rather than hold it back. Also , I hope it's as long as TLJ or even longer.

I actually only played and finished TLJ last month. I had the game around for years but didn't play it but as I saw Dreamfall getting closer I just had to give it another try and i'm glad I did.
Once you overcome the gfx hurdle which happens pretty soon , because you immerse in the story , charc. and the world , you find an awesome game.

I think there's a AA patch for TLJ , check the game's forum. maybe it will help you get through the game.

Really waiting for Dreamfall , this could be the re-birth of adventure games.
