Microsoft made a small mistake today when they put the Lost Planet demo on the US marketplace. It was removed after a couple of hours, but it was enough time for me to download it completely :) Here is a demo of me sucking at the first mission and getting killed by the boss. Sorry I did not have time to train like I usually do.

Pfft HL2 Antlions>Starship Troopers antlions>those antlions. :smoking:

Haha, silly Microsoft. Looks nice though.

And yeh HL2 Antlions > those.

Wow, i guess some Microsoft guy got fired lol.

Looks good tho.

The video seems great and is of a great quality, but I'd like to see some other areas. It seemed kind of lonely ;(

Would have been nice to see some communication with NPC's over the radio. I wonder if this game has stuff like that. So who has downloaded and played it yet? Is it fun? I wanna play.

The graphics were decent, but kinda fell apart with the footprint effects. One thing that was really pissing me off was how effortlessly the character moved through knee-deep snow ... but I don't know the plot, maybe he's some kind of supersoldier or some such bullshit. Still, it looked very awkward.

The gameplay looked pretty generic and boring. The guy just kept shooting endlessly respawning enemies until he blew up the holes they came out of, then ran around and did some more generic crap. What's the big deal with this game?

On the contrary, I thought it looked like the knee deep snow was slowing him down and looked like he almost tripped because he was struggling from it.

I expect it to turn out to be a great game simply because it's from Capcom. I hoped it would be a spin-off of Resident Evil with an entirely different setting and heavier weaponry, but I agree, it didn't set itself apart in that gameplay video. The blizzard effect, giant 'Antlion' bosses, and the flashlight looked cool though.

i'm dying to play this demo. :(

graphics look excellent, can't wait to see how the gameplay is.

gosh, he didn't even get to try/show mechs. :(
