Has anybody else taken notice of Eclipse? I had not heard of it since the latest news article here at HalfLife2.net.
Eclipse is a total conversion that is being made by students at their university; a part of their game design course they are taking. There are two teams that are taking part in the course, and Eclipse seems to be the better of the two.

Go to their Videos section and take a look at what they got going so far. It is pretty impressive.
The story is also pretty developed. You are a sorceress who has teleconetic powers. In a 3rd-person action-adventure total conversion for Half-Life 2, you go around fighting enemies and solving problems by extensive interaction with the environment; taking advantage of the true power of the Source engine and the Havok physics.
Even better, its tentative release date is for late June 2005 (this month!). I don't know about all of you, but I am very excited for this game. Made by a new team of college students, it is quite impressive. A new approach to a total conversion that we don't often see.
