Entities not showing in game

Hey, I'm pretty new to the map making scheme. So bare with me, I have two problems here. I'm using Hammer to make a CS:S map.

1. I put in entities and it shows up in the display window, but when i run the map, only a couple of them show up.

2. I'm trying to make a sky, so I create a block and apply the skybox texture to it, yet it doesnt do anything.

I'm sry these are probably really noob question
 
Explain more please. GIve us a compile log also.

What entities do not show up? What did you want the sky to do? Is it just a block with all sides textured with toolsskybox?
 
Like Unarmed said, post a compile log, that should help us on the entity issue.

As for the Sky, I can only think you haven't textured the entire brush in the skybox texture.
 
I think you haven't hollowed the cube out...

You apply the tools/skybox texture on the concave (right?) faces.

theres the Log. as for the sky I've tried hollowing out a cube that is textured with the tool/skybox
 
Your map leaks. That needs to be fixed.

As far as the sky goes it seems that you have picked an invalid skybox name.

Go to the texture browser and enter "sky" into the search field. There should be a ton to choose from and it seems cs_havana is not one of them. Maybe the name is somewhat different, what do I know.
