Just let it sit for a bit and I bet the number will go up. If you go to VIEW -> BANDWIDTH MONITOR in steam then you can see if it is actually downloading or stuck.
You may need to wait for Valve's content servers near you to free up. idk

I had the same problem, just close and restart steam.

its a good thing I am buying the orange box on the day it is released..
so lets see, since I would be reisntalling my whole system (something I do every year), I would be installing the whole load (probably 4.5 GIG) and I always get a constant speed of 300kbps on steam everytime. That would mean I would play the orange box 4.2 hours after everyone else..

I'm having same problem. TF2 and Portal downloads are completed and Ep2 starts at %36.No movement from there. When i try to install Lost Coast it works fine and also Ep2 starts to download, i'm guessing it downloads shared files. When i "view launch info" and try to pause/continue it all i get is "servers are too busy...bla bla bla". It's been 2 days servers can't be that busy :S
I don't have the greatest connection so if i don't fix it asap I won't make it to launch
And yes i tried deleting that .blob file 17 times.

I pre-loaded last night. Just set it off & went to bed.
Bit worried about how it's going to run for me though. TF2 runs like a bit of a whore even with the setting set fairly low (Simple reflections, no HDR at all, Models medium, no anti-aliasing, textures high etc). I was considering an upgrade. I think I will need to to get anywhere near the best out of this.

I could just buy new parts myself for that. It's just the hassle of doingthe new build + I only just re-installed XP on my PC following a small disaster last week (where Iremoved my video drivers before updating ...... but accidently removed all the Nforce mobo drivers at the same time. WHOOPS!!). I'll see how it runs on my current sytem first but I'msure I'll have to turn some of those graphic settings down a fair bit to get decent performance.
The other thing swaying me towards XBox360 is that new orange box preview video. In that one of the reviewers says that the XBox360 version has been upgraded throughout. So console owners get HL2 with all the new graphic features that we've only just got more recently. Console owners will be able to play through the original HL2 with full HDR etc. Lucky bleeders.

Listen to this...
Go to your game directory and post create your config file and put it in overdrive, then re edit the cfg and vmt files, then re install steam and pro edit the whole thing. There, you're done.
