I don't think I'd put that much credibility behind that article. Didn't Valve already admit the thefts had nothing to do with hl2 not being released last year? Also it seems like they're talking about Christmas 03 at the end of that article, not 04, meaning a release next year means 04, this year.

Last time I checked there's no such thing as Sept 31. :E
