I was just wondering what people on other countrys get for there first cars in australia people usaly go for commenhores and falcons

In australia first cars are a big thing, its gotta be built for cruzin. i dont realy hear about young peoples cars in other countrys. is it a big thing or do people just get whatever. do people hot em up or just leave em
 
In the US they do everything.....from turning econo cars into dragsters to cadilacs into low riders

and everything in between

edit: but if your talking about what the average kid does to his car....that would have to be.

1. put a aftermarket muffler that sounds like a weed wacker

2. put a giant wing on the car that creates alot of drag and slows the car down.

3. put on stickers with asian characters on them.

Yeah I'm 18 and getting my License very soon I've already got my car. Its a '86' fairmont ghia in fairly good condition with a 350 in it. (I dont think its legal but I'll see soon enough)
 
i dont think it is (you are in aus arnt you) but i could be wrong
 
Yes i'm in Aus, Melbourne to be exact. Anyway I didnt think so.
 
im from melbourne too, im lookin at a eb - ed falcon or a vr commodore (if i save enough)
 
by the way i think the fords have a 351, holden have 350 chev, not that it matters there both out of p plater range unfortunetly
 
there cool cars but as i said, if i save enough, otherwise a vk (bogan city here i come).

my friends have got a ford EA farmont ghia, holden vn exec wagon and a holden vk berlina, they all got realy good deals on em but i have yet to find any good deals yet (im the youngest in the group, i turn 18 in feb, i hate being young)
 
my car has been Modded. all the 86 XFs/XEs (cant remember wich one) came with a straight 6. If I were you I would go for a VL turbo!!! J/K I really hate them so many have them there not cool anymore. I wouldnt worry you'll end up finding a deal, as you have a while to go (sorry) but if worst comes to worst you can always go for a datsun 120y!!!! (with top speed of 80kph)
 
i dont have one yet... but im bout to get either a vette or camaro. My bro had a 95' vette when he was my age :(.

Oh a random note, I wants a Humvee... although it'd be a pain to park, as it'd take up to parking spaces in a car park...:P

and really the "people" around here all by those stupid little red fors things....name eludes me at the moment, anywho, from the UK will know what i mean...

I think i know what you mean. Anyway, i would like a Humvee. They are possibly one of the coolest cars. I mean, who would dare get in your way? Except trucks maybe. Humvees look pretty nice too, i like the shape, it isnt just another wind tunnel blob like most mid/low priced cars these days. I would however settle for a now mini cooper with suoer charger. That would be cool.

LOL!... I had a nova as my first car!! It was only a 1.2 merit though who's previous owner used it as a car to get to the post office in to pick up her pension... certainly not a boy racers car with body kit etc.... and no i dont listen to hard house.... :cool:

lol, vl turbos are expencive and they are out of fashion anyway. vn calais are your new dickhead car, every revhead seams to want one. they're the most leathal p plater car apparently (so damn light they just fly of the road) which means thats the one people want, cheap and light (not the calais version though, there expencive as well)

i know someone from work who trashed a vl turbo the other week, took a roundabot at 70 km/h, lost it and hit a tree, car writen off altough he had two so he isnt without a car (dont ask me why he had 2)
